Security analyst Col. Festus Aboagye has blamed the series of violent attacks in the country recently on the predictability of Police checkpoints and roadblocks.
Speaking to Emefa Apawu on Joy FM, Mr Aboagye disclosed that armed robbers have become smarter over time and find alternative ways to commit high-level crimes, as such, maintaining one checkpoint makes it easy for them to find other suitable spots to attack people.
“Once roadblocks become static, they are predictable, anybody who wants to commit crime knows where these points are and will find other places where no such checkpoints in the immediate vicinity,” he said.
